This delicious recipe is my family’s favourite homemade chili. It’s a healthy version that was inspired by fellow Strong Girl, Coraleigh Jones, Coach at CL Strength and Nutrition. As a bonus, it’s a well-balanced, protein rich, hearty meal that is suitable for a Fat Loss Program.
HEALTHY CHILI RECIPE (Makes 7 Servings):
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 lb(s), Extra Lean Ground Beef
- 1 tbsp(s), Oil Olive
- 1 gram, Onion
- 1 Large Green Sweet Pepper raw, diced
- 1 cube, Chicken Stock
- 1.25 cup, Water
- 1 can or 796ml(s), Organic Diced Tomatoes
- 1 can or 540ml(s), Red Kidney Beans
- 1 can or 284ml(s), President’s Choice Organic Mushrooms
- 4 tbsp, Chili powder
- 1 tbsp(s), Taco Seasoning – I used FLAVOR GOD
- 2 tsp(s), Sea Salt
- 2 Tbsp(s), Cream Cheese (Light)
- OPTIONAL: Frank’s Hot Sauce
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:
- Heat Pan, add oil, onions and lean ground beef and cook to well done.
- Add Chili Powder and Taco Seasoning
- Dissolve Chicken Stock in water and add to ground beef mixture
- Add Green Peppers, Mushrooms, Tomatoes and Red Kidney Beans
- Add Light Cream Cheese, add Sea Salt (to taste) and Optional Hot Sauce.
